Tyler and The Twelve Traditions
The Legacy, The Lore, The Wisdom

Available in Colorado at The Tattered Cover

"A conversational journey through the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous that is not only readable and informative, but richly layered with humor and insight. " - Richard Dan, Psychotherapist

Yet another in the Edward Bear/Tyler series of discourses, this one dealing with the often-neglected subject of the Twelve Traditions created by Alcoholics Anonymous in the late 1940’s to regulate group conduct. The Traditions are to the groups as the Steps are to the individual. So listen in while Edward and Tyler spend some time discussing not only the legacy, the lore and the wisdom of the Traditions, but also life, love, relationships, loyalty, Viagra and vampires.

Edward Bear (a pseudonym) was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Los Angeles. Early adventures included a brief stint in minor league baseball, too many years in construction, day labor and other dead-end jobs. A correspondence course in electronics landed him a job at Hewlett Packard where he was employed for nearly thirty years. Mr. Bear currently lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife, plays a vintage Martin guitar and
writes in whatever time the gods and goddesses have left him.

“Every group had the right to be wrong.” - Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions

“Do not seek after truth; merely cease to cherish opinions.” - Buddha

“Wanting to reform the world...is like trying to cover the whole world with leather to avoid the pain of walking on stones and thorns. It is much simpler to wear shoes.” - Ramana Maharshi

“The fault dear Brutus, is not in the stars, but in ourselves.” - William Shakespeare
